Seam System 500B METOP

The Seam System 500B is designed for customers who want to take advantage of METOP’s high quality measuring system, including the well-known Winseam software and require the highest capacity and fastest measurements.

What makes this system unique is our quick and accurate Minidesk-2 that measures all external parameters in one single operation. This procedure only takes seconds compared to measuring all parameters separately, using individual gauges. METOP offers a very attractive price to suit each individual customer´s needs.

MD-2B

For external measurements

The Minidesk is an instrument with one fixture, which is used for complete measurement of all external parameters of the seam. Can height, seam height, countersink depth and seam thickness are measured at the same point. This makes the instrument much faster than measuring with individual gauges. The results are displayed on digital indicators, and data is transferred to the seam computer via a multiplexer.

VSC-3

For internal measurements

The video seam monitor is an Industrial fan-less computer system mounted in an attractive aluminium enclosure. It is reliable and 100 % without moving parts, with built in vision measurement hardware.

Winseam 5

With our highly developed software your measuring values can be stored on the hard drive or on your server. All data from the external measuring gauges will be transmitted into the measuring report by the included foot pedal or the enter button. All the internal measurements will be made automaticallyt by means of a camera and a vision measuring system in the VSC-3. It takes approxomately 1 second for the system to place all the measuring lines for body hook, overlap and cover hook etc. They can also be manually adjusted. The image with the measuring lines can be printed out. A rating system evaluates all seam dimensions and highlights critical errors. The procedure for recheck is semi-automatic and very easy to carry out. There is also a safety filter for unrealistic measuring values.

Statistics like trend curves, histograms and error reports can easily be performed. All adjustments on the line can be keyed in and also be shown in the statistics. Old reports can be searched and are traceable.

The database is Access and Excel. The Video Seam Computer is also ready for Ethernet and equipped with RJ 45 connection.

MSS-2B

To cut the can

The MSS-2B is a high speed Seam Saw with solid carbide blades that simultaneously makes two cuts in the can. The cuts are made on the end of the can to make the seam visible for further internal measuring. The saw is equipped with a safety holder. The hood is in stainless steel that is easy to clean and long lasting.

MSC-3B

To open the can

The MSC-3 is a manual tool that separates the cover hook from the seam to provide tightness control and evaluation. It is made for all cans. It´s low weight and easy to use.

Options:

As options to the system you can choose to include our  automatic can opener, SARC-3.

SARC-3 To open the can automatically The Semi- Automatic Rotating Cutter SARC-3 simplifies the work of evaluating wrinkles as it is fast and easy to use. It is operated by placing the can in position, activating the power switch by  using the foot pedal and pulling the handle to move the cutting knives towards the can. •          Easy height setting for different can heights •          Quick diameter change for different can sizes •          Extremely solid built •          Small footprint on the table •          Standing can- eliminating leakage of liquids The SARC-3 is delivered with one pair of extra cutting knives and a fixture for either 200, 202, 206 or 209. The height can easily be changed depending on the can size.
